Membership Information & Benefits

Join the ASP to support the cause of improving science literacy.

Attention ASP members: please register with the ASP's new online membership portal. The portal will allow members to manage their membership information and renewals in one easy location. The portal will also allow members to choose their own login information for accessing Mercury magazine and Astronomy Beat.

ASP logo

Founded in 1889, Astronomical Society of the Pacific (ASP), is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the understanding and appreciation of astronomy by engaging scientists, educators, enthusiasts and the public to advance science and science literacy. We invite you to join the Society and support the cause of advancing science literacy through engagement in astronomy.

Learn more about the ASP.

Astronomy Beat is a twice-monthly, on-line column written by "insiders" from the worlds of astronomy research and outreach.

Please note: the method of accessing Mercury magazine and Astronomy Beat will change in August 2012. Members will need to register with the ASP's online membership portal in order to access Mercury magazine and Astronomy Beat.

To access Astronomy Beat, go to:
http://www.astrosociety.org/mercury/astrobeat/

You will need your membership user name and password (the same one you use for Mercury magazine on line). Refer to the letter you received from the Society earlier this year.

If you have lost or forgotten the access code, send an email that includes your ASP membership number (or the full name and address at which you receive ASP mailings) to: membership {at} astrosociety.org

Please select one of the following membership applications.
